Together, well strengthen communities and change lives! 4Thinks, communicates and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and members when it comes to desired staff behaviors; promotes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in all job-related functions.As part of the Association's Advancement approach, executes the Associations overarching fundraising strategy and implementation to include annual campaigns, major gifts, capital, and endowment. This work involves planning, designing, implementing and evaluating projects and outcomes.Build and appropriately grow a robust, responsive and comprehensive approach to development with a key focus on relationships as the foundation with YMCAs family of donors.Builds and fosters long-term partnerships through engagement, discovery, follow-up, customer service, and effective solutions.Manages and executes the strategies and initiatives of major gifts to support articulated fundraising goals. Directly leads and supports major gift efforts, including prospect identification, relationship nurturing, funding conversations, and stewardship with families, foundations, and corporations. Serves as one of Association's Major Gifts Officers with a relationship manager portfolio.Leads growth efforts and tactics in support of legacy and endowment giving.Manages strategy, tactics, goals and consultants related to capital and comprehensive campaigns while ensuring that all parties understand their role and are prepared to be successful.Develops, leads and oversees the teams, systems and processes for a dynamic and innovative fundraising department, including development operations.Ensures all teams, systems and processes for Development include robust donor engagement, communication, stewardship, and data management.Develops and uses data-quality best practices to donor cultivation and stewardship.Adheres to policies related to boundaries with youth. Participates in required abuse risk management training. Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements. Adheres to job-specific abuse risk management responsibilities.Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and viewpoints from all social and economic segments of the organization and community. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with YMCA's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
