Storeroom Attendant (Finance)
The Storeroom Attendant is a vital role within the hotel, responsible for the efficient receiving and distribution of food and beverage goods and services. This position also assists in the management of guests' goods, ensuring that all items are handled with care and in accordance with hotel standards. The Storeroom Attendant plays a key role in maintaining Food & Beverage controls, which includes managing turnover, conducting inventories, and ensuring that par stock levels are maintained according to the hotel's business levels.
Job Description
T he Storeroom Attendant will receive food, beverage, and other items, ensuring proper rotation, stocking, pricing, and storage as prescribed by each outlet. The attendant will issue food and beverage goods following the outlet's policies, which includes recording, pricing, rotation, and delivery to authorized employees. Maintaining accurate records of all items received and issued is crucial to minimize variances in the storeroom, in line with established Food & Beverage procedures. The Storeroom Attendant will also assist in pulling and distributing liquor requisitions, checking in and sorting packages from FedEx, UPS, and USPS, and ensuring that the loading dock remains clean and organized. The role requires participation in monthly inventories and reporting any breakage, spoilage, or stock shortages to the storeroom manager. Building solid relationships with colleagues and treating them with respect and dignity is essential. The employee may also be required to assist in other areas of the hotel as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to delivering passionate and engaging service to guests. This includes recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs to exceed expectations, following the GUEST model: Greet, Use eye contact, Establish needs, Solve requests, and Thank everyone.
