Director Supply Chain (Project Management)
Job Summary
The Director of Supply Chain is a senior-level employee responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution, with a focus on optimizing efficiency, cost reduction, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality standards, by strategically managing supplier relationships, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals.
Responsibilities
· Directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods.
· Managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring supplier performance.
· Overseeing inventory management, demand forecasting, and optimizing stock levels.
· Implementing and monitoring logistics processes, including transportation and warehousing.
· Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.
· Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and driving continuous process optimization.
· Develops and implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.
Qualifications
· Proven experience in managing end-to-end supply chain operations, 5 years' experience.
· Expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
· Strong communication skills with relationship building techniques.
· Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
· Leadership abilities to manage and motivate a cross-functional team.
· Knowledge of supply chain management technologies and systems.
· Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and implement strategic adjustments
