Parking Attendant (Personal Services)
The Parking Attendant is responsible to protect property and personnel by patrolling the facility and acting as access control for visitors along with directing traffic. This role may also be referred to as Guard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and assisting them with parking instructions
- Directing vehicles to available parking spaces and ensuring orderly parking
- Monitoring the parking facility for any unauthorized or suspicious activity
- Enforcing parking regulations
- Assisting customers with locating their vehicles and providing basic information about the marina
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning parking areas and ensuring proper signage
- Keeping accurate records of parking transactions and reporting any discrepancies to management
- Maintain a professional appearance, uniform and manner at all times
- Provide customer service by making sure vehicles display proper permits
- Availability to work overtime when required
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
- Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.
- Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous security experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property
- Must have a valid Drivers' License
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
