Cornell Pump Company is seeking a full-time Pump Test Engineer to work in our Testing Department in the Clackamas OR location.
The Salary pay range for this position is $70K-$85K (DOE)

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Prepares specifications for fabrication, assembly, and installation of apparatus and control instrumentation used to test experimental or prototype mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, hydro mechanical or structural products, and conducts tests and records results by performing the following duties.
The perfect candidate will be able to perform these essential duties
Executes & coordinates customer, R&D, and Quality testing of pumps assemblies and components.
Confers with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to design specifications and to review test plans such as types and cycles of tests, conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and duration of tests.
Fabricates components for test apparatus.
Performs engineering calculations related to pump testing.
Examine parts for dimensional conformance using calipers, dial indicators, etc.
Coordinates and installs test unit by connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source, and indicating instruments.
Monitors (flow meter, pressure gauge/transducer, vibration & torque transducers) & controls instruments (valves) and records test data for engineer's use.
Prepares test data packets and communicates with the Sales department.

Required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field plus two years' related experience.
May direct work of Engineers, Technicians and Mechanics in the Test Department
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Understand basic electromechanical concepts
Understands basic pump concepts such as NPSH
