SUMMARY The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing a variety of human resources functions, including employee relations, leave management, policy compliance, and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as PMHC policies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Human Resources Generalist must possess the skills, knowledge, and judgment to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation: In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, ensuring the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees and management at all levels.Employee relations: Address employee concerns, conduct investigations into complaints, and mediate conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.Training and development: Identify training needs, coordinate programs, and assist in developing initiatives that support employee growth.Record maintenance: Ensure accurate, up-to-date employee files, records, licensure, and other required documentation are maintained.Leave of Absence management: Administer and support employee leave requests, including personal leave, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests.Workers Compensation management: Oversee the Workers' Compensation lifecycle, including claim oversight, leave management, and return-to-work protocols.Reporting: Generate reports as needed to support HR and administrative functions.Process improvement: Research and assist in the creation of employment-related forms and procedures, streamlining accuracy and efficiency in HR processes.Collaboration: Work with the HR team to implement companywide training on new HR processes, software, and benefit designs.Employee relations issues: Participate in handling terminations, performance management, and leave issues in a fair and effective manner.Benefits Administration: Assist in managing company-sponsored benefit programs, including educating employees about available benefits and enrolling eligible employees in these plans.Additional duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the needs of the HR department and organization.
