Amsted Rail in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a Human Resources Intern for the summer. This role is responsible for supporting the HR team in various tasks and projects, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative support.
What you will do:
- Conduct a thorough I9 audit across all Amsted Rail divisions to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist with building and distributing surveys on our survey platform to gather valuable feedback and insights.
- Provide support for various HR needs as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Contribute to various projects, playing a key role in the overall success of the HR team and the organization.
- Be on-site in the Chicago office every day for work, except when traveling for business purposes.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel 50% or more to multiple site locations.
