Mountain 2nd Shift Quality Control Operator (Personal Services)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Backup Quality Control Operator supports the quality assurance process by performing key inspection and monitoring activities during the absence of a primary Quality Control Operator. This role focuses on ensuring that production continues to meet established quality standards and assists in maintaining necessary documentation and communication.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Committed to the Mission, Vision, and Values of Nicolet Plastics LLC. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of products using standard measurement tools to ensure adherence to specifications. Collect and report quality data to support production teams and assist in identifying any immediate issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating as needed, focusing on maintaining product quality. Ensure quality documentation is accurate and complete, with a focus on key records required during shift coverage. Assist in monitoring production processes to identify and address potential quality issues, escalating concerns as necessary. Control non-conforming products by segregating and documenting non-conforming items, following established procedures. Conduct audits of production processes and workstations to ensure compliance with key standards and report findings. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment at Nicolet Plastics with some exposure to quality control processesBasic proficiency in the use of computers, including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), and familiarity with ERP systems (i.e. IQMS) is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand for long periods of time; walk, handle tools, or controls; communicate and listen (hear). The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move parts, reports, files, office supplies, etc. weighing up to 40 pounds. Be able to handle, grasp, and perform repetitive motion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment; moderate levels of dirt, noise, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, fumes, chemicals/solvents, and electrical hazards and occasionally work in an office environment with use of computer and other standard office equipment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc. is to be worn as applicable throughout the entire shift.
