The Marketing Communications Specialist will have experience in developing marketing, communications, and branding campaigns and understand how to optimize and evaluate different content strategies relevant to the D-SNP market for salability. The incumbent will be expected to remain current with market/industry trends and the competitive product landscape to ensure the execution of quality marketing campaigns and projects in a budget conscience and timely manner.
Principle responsibilities include:
Manages compliant and timely development and filing of CMS and State required communications and marketing materials for the Medicare Advantage D-SNP product.Coordinates with other functional areas to develop accurate and compliant member communications, including model and non-model collateral.Supports the development and implementation of the Medicare Advantage customer communication strategy that accounts for member insights and segment strategies.Develops and implements member communication, marketing policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Creates the annual Medicare marketing and communications roadmap/calendar. Develops, implements, and oversees the tracking of all Medicare Advantage member-facing, provider, or vendor materials.Partners with Healthcare Analytics resources to measure and report success of communication and marketing campaigns and projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Assume responsibility and exercise good judgement in making decisions within the scope of authority of the position.Be proficient in understanding CMS Marketing and Communications Guidelines (MCMGs), Code of Regulations (CFRs), and model documents.Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities.Manage small to extra-large level initiatives which may require coordination with external partners.Provide support to Project Management Office (PMO) and various enterprise-wide activities based on availability.Organize and facilitate Medicare marketing and communications project-related meetings, as necessary.Work effectively independently as well as part of a team and support team decisions.Adapt to changes in requirements/priorities for daily and specialized tasks.Produce accurate and precise work, detect discrepancies, and resolve discrepancies all while meeting deadlines.Demonstrate strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills as well as formulate and communicate recommendations for improvements as needed.

EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT TO:
A Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
MINIMUM YEARS OF ADDITIONAL RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience within a health plan environment required.Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years in managed care marketing, branding, or communications.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE):
Background in health education, health information, and/or general wellness a plus.Strong understanding of web platforms, digital advertising, e-mail automation platforms, CRM platforms, Adobe Suite, and MS office.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to successfully interact with people at all levels. Ability to facilitate meetings, manage complex initiatives, and make presentations before groups of management and staff. Exhibits good tasks, planning, and implementation skills to ensure work is completed on time and to expected quality levels.Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to create and foster a collaborative work environment, while maintaining effective, high-performance teams.Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to lead effectively in a matrixed environment.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Basic knowledge of the business, economic, demographic and political trends and developments affecting healthcare in general, and sales and marketing in particular.Experience with project management Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.Ability to manage confidential information with appropriate discretion.5% to 10% occasional travel required. Valid CA drivers license, proof of insurance and good driving record.
