Hardware and Robotics Editor (Finance)
TechCrunch is seeking a Hardware Editor who's well-versed in the underpinnings of AI technology, and how it overlaps with applications across robotics, manufacturing and consumer hardware. The ideal candidate would be able to communicate the importance and impact of the intersection of robotics and hardware for a diverse audience: from seasoned founders and investors, to a curious general audience inclined to deepen their related knowledge and expertise in the area. Ideally, the person who occupies this role will also have a wide range of knowledge across a variety of technical subjects to inform their perspective.
This role will collaborate closely with, and generally contribute to our combined, world-class TechCrunch editorial team. If you have a strong passion for technology, and in particular for emerging trends in industrial and consumer hardware and how they overlap with AI, this is your opportunity to be a key part of the conversation on a global scale.

Responsibilities:
- Break news regularly, staying ahead of the curve in a fast-moving industry.
- Write in-depth features on the businesses and individuals driving change in robotics, consumer hardware and AI.
- Build and nurture relationships with sources to land key interviews and profile industry leaders.
- Cut through the noise to identify what's truly impactful versus overhyped in the tech world.
- Create world-class editorial programming for our event stages around hardware, robotics and AI.
- Work with TechCrunch's social team to create high quality video and multimedia assets to help tell relevant stories to our audiences across platforms.
- Work with other editorial leaders to align coverage priorities with those of the overall publication and audience expectations.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure every story meets TechCrunch's high standards.

The compensation for this position ranges from $72,750.00 - $151,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
