Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)
Provide Supervision for all CEDA shift employees
• Provide supervision to CEDA employees to ensure maximization of productivity and adherence to quality standards and requirements
• Address all employee performance, process, equipment and maintenance issues.
• Conduct required disciplinary action and/or counseling as needed.
• Monitor area work process flow to ensure maximum productivity and safe work practices are being followed.
• Maintain appropriate communications and daily check-ins with CEDA Manager and Assistant CEDA Manager regarding production efforts and any employee concerns and issues with production efforts.

• Prepare and submit production and quality records and reports.
• Completion of periodic performance reviews
• Collaborate with the Assistant CEDA Manager to interview and hire new CEDA employees.
Prepare and monitor adherence to the weekly schedule, and work assignments for the CEDA department
• Plan and schedule work assignments for the CEDA department.
• Identify overtime needs and assign as appropriate.
• Complete weekly payroll documents. complete attendance reports for payroll
• Monitor employee attendance for all scheduled shifts and address absences as needed.
a. Document attendance points, collect doctor statements, and counseling reports for the file.
Leads the efforts of the department in inventory levels and compliance with all food safety requirements
• Ensure work areas are maintained appropriately and remain clean and safe in accordance with Viskase health, safety and environmental policies and standards.
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels of raw materials and semi-finished products.
• Complete monthly safety and housekeeping audits.
• Ensure the monthly safety meeting for assigned shift CEDA employees is completed.
Participate in, conduct, and assist in Training for the entirety of the assigned work area
• Monitor on the job and ongoing training for assigned employees
• Participate in monthly Emergency Brigade training and complete 3 departmental STOP (DuPont Safety Training Observation Program) observations.
• Ensure that JSA's and work procedures are reviewed by employees annually for existing employees.
• Document training for all new employees and for those who are being assigned to a new position.
• Ensure completion of performance reviews for all new employees and those current employees changing job assignments.
• Attend production and quality meetings and personal in-house training.
• Complete Lockout Tag out procedures and insure accident investigations and reports are completed and submitted to the CEDA Manager and Human Resources.
Education
• High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
• 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• ability to communicate with various levels of leadership within the plant and present information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems
• Solid mechanical reasoning and analytical skills.
• Ability to utilize established IT programs to enter production data
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects with attention to detail
