Position: Off-Site Linen Distribution Technician
We're currently seeking a Linen Distribution Technician to join our team at the Northside Atlanta Hospital location. Key Responsibilities:
Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated hospital departments
Collect soiled linen and return it in covered carts to assigned areas
Verify linen quantities and perform routine inventory checks
Maintain cleanliness and order in the linen distribution area
Address and resolve client concerns or issues
Communicate linen quality and service feedback to supervisor
Deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
Follow all institutional procedures and safety protocols
Operate equipment as needed and assist with department operations
Perform clerical tasks including answering phones and basic data entry
Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
1–2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or related industries
Strong customer service and communication skills
Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused attitude
Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 35 lbs), and pushing/pulling carts (up to 400 lbs)
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Open to giving and receiving feedback
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the entire shift
Must be able to maneuver rolling carts weighing up to 400 lbs
Repetitive motion including bending, reaching, twisting, and standing for extended periods
