HR Specialist (Finance)
· Provides information and coordinates activity related to established HR policies, processes, or regulations to employees and/or management, such as labor, recruiting/employment, training, EEO, records retention and benefits.
· Prepares and monitors data for hourly and/or salaried processing through on-line programs or personnel forms including leaves of absence, layoffs, and absentee issues.
· May participate in interview process and may recommend placement. Conducts presentations or training for new employee orientations, benefits, contract implementation, etc.
· Develops and runs complex queries, compiles data, and prepares reports/statistical analyses for one or more functional areas.
· Responsible for the administration of HR-related programs, such as service awards, special recognition, etc.
· May provide administrative support to one or more functional areas (e.g., correspondence, mail distribution, filing, answering phones, etc.).
· At the business unit level, acts as a representative for the deployment of companywide programs/processes, e.g., PeopleSoft, background checks, drug screens, etc.
· Assists in identifying training needs, development of aids, manuals, and tests, and arranges and may conduct training sessions.
