Senior Procurement Operations Manager (Finance)



Overview

The Procurement Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day procurement activities and ensuring the efficient execution of sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management processes. This role drives operational excellence by streamlining procurement workflows, optimizing vendor performance, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and partnering cross-functionally to support organizational goals.

Shermco Industries is seeking a Senior Procurement Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Procurement Operations department
  • Create, document and manage procurement processes and Job Aids, policies, and internal procurement web pages.
  • Ability to generate purchase orders and review for supplier compliance
  • Develops purchasing channels, including Catalogues, Punch Outs, etc.
  • Ability to conduct “BID to Buy” negotiations
  • Drive Program Adoption of Most Preferred Suppliers by various means of communication to Office Locations and Operations teams
  • Partnership and communication with Accounts Payable and other departments
  • Knowledge of Procurement Technology
  • Reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Develop and track KPIs to monitor and improve Supplier and Procurement Ops Buyer performance
  • Ownership of Apparel and Office Supplies Programs
  • Collaborate with company managers and stakeholders to understand their specific procurement needs and requirements
  • Manage Procurement team activities including Procurement Supervisor and Coordinators by understanding their needs, creating accountability, and encouraging personal growth
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as vendor and/or Stakeholder non-compliance
  • Other duties as assigned, qualified to perform, and trained to do.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years purchasing/managerial experience
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts

Pay Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr. Apply
