Assistant Seafood Manager - PT (Food Services)
Our Assistant Seafood Managers are responsible for the direct supervision of the Seafood Department operations including providing customer service and assuring that team associates are following company policies and procedures within the respective department. The Assistant Seafood Manager will provide exceptional customer service to include being friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and passionate all while serving as a role model for other team members. Responsibilities will include assisting customers with orders, working as backup to the Seafood Manager, training and scheduling staff, inventory in addition to all other Seafood Department functions.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Seafood Manager is responsible for assisting with the operations of our Seafood Department, including providing excellent customer service, ensuring seafood quality, presentation, merchandising, organization, pricing, stocking, etc.Will be responsible for assisting with the training and scheduling of Seafood Clerk staffWill filet fish for order or display, set display for proper presentation, prepare seafood and ensure that ice is always replenishedAssist all customers with their seafood questionsAssure that all company policies and safety guidelines are adhered to at all timesOther duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalentPrior management experience within in a busy seafood departmentMust have experience working in a Seafood Dept fileting fish, knowledge of different types of fish, preparing seafood, cleaning seafood, setting displaysAbility to develop and train team members, build relationships, utilize skills of team members most appropriatelyAbility to provide outstanding customer serviceMust have excellent communications skills and be able to speak, read and communicate in the English languageAbility to operate commercial kitchen equipment relevant to the Seafood DepartmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions
Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
