Industry Professor of Analytics/Information Systems (Education)
Job Description
The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time faculty position as an Industry Professor. Appointments can be made at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor ranks, commensurate with the individual's record and experience. The principal focus of this position is instruction in data analytics, data science, information systems, and artificial intelligence courses. The expected start date for the position is September 2025. This position is contingent upon final budget approval.
Stevens Institute of Technology offers a Master of Science in Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) and a Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS). Current BI&A stream offers courses that include data management, financial decision making, optimization and process analytics, multivariate statistics, experimental designs, machine learning, cognitive computing, big data technologies, marketing analytics, network analytics, and supply chain analytics. In the Information System stream, Data Management, Process Innovation, Digital Innovation, IT Strategy, Machine Learning and Analytics, project management, cybersecurity, and others.
We seek individuals with significant academic and/or professional experience. A doctoral degree is preferred, but industry experience in lieu of a doctoral degree will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to primarily teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and support curricular development, student advising and Business school and University wide committee assignments.
