Sustainability Coordinator (Project Management)

We are looking for a dynamic Sustainability Coordinator to join our team!

What the position entails: This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability initiatives to move the organization forward in our sustainability journey. You will work collaboratively with various teams (both internally and externally) to promote sustainable practices, improve efficiency in operations, develop sustainable product offerings, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and help minimize waste throughout the organization.

The Job Responsibilities include:
Leads projects, programs, and initiatives that move us towards our sustainability goals across the organization. These could include projects that are internal & external (suppliers / customers). Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on Sustainability related KPIs / objectives (i.e. energy / water consumption, waste generation, carbon footprint, process emissions, sustainability projects & savings) Takes the lead in responding to customer, supplier, and internal surveys (i.e. Ecovadis, CDP, Assent, etc) as well as data requests & validation. Develops and executes Sustainability training to educate on practices and initiatives and improve culture Acts as a champion for sustainabilitycommunicating progress, awareness, and success stories to internal and external audiences (customers / suppliers / other sister businesses, etc). Assists in the development and execution of sustainability strategies and goals for the organization Identifies opportunities for improvement in sustainability and coordinates initiatives across all sites related to energy efficiency, waste reduction, recycling / circularity, resource utilization, water conservation, sustainable product offerings, and sustainable sourcing. Works to develop & maintain policies and procedures that institutionalize sustainable practices across all departments & facilities within the organization. Responsible for maintaining sustainability data in Scope 5 (sustainability data integration tool) Prepares reports on Sustainability efforts to share with various stakeholders, such as Annual Sustainability report Position will reside in any Brazeway site with travel up to 50%. Ability to travel to support all Brazeway locations (Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Mexico), and Customers / Suppliers in North America.

The Right Fit for this Position will have:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred 1-3 years prior experience in Sustainability 2-4 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment Proven ability to assess and resolve technical problems Familiarity with Sustainability frameworks and surveys preferred (i.e., ISO 14001, GRI, CDP, Ecovadis, etc.) Excellent communication and people skills Strong commitment to a team environment Robust analytical and project management skills Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
