We have an immediate opening for a Behavioral Health Supervisor. This role is full-time, office-based, and pay is commensurate with experience, Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Therapeutic Behavioral Service (TBS) / Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) program that provides community-based supports and services to adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness. Key responsibilities: Supervisory responsibility for Therapeutic Behavior Specialist staff and other mental health paraprofessional staff as assigned. Develops, implements, and reviews the practices and policies relevant to the CPST program. Provides regular clinical and administrative supervision to assigned team/staff. Performs client intakes, as required, for program admission. Provides direct client Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) as required. Conducts onboarding and ongoing staff training needed to ensure high quality of care to clientele. Evaluates performance of staff on an on-going basis and is responsible for completion of annual performance evaluations. Maintains regular occurring communication with clientele, family members, and ancillary service providers to assure responsiveness within 24 hours. Makes decisions for hiring, termination, and other changes of status of staff. Ensures staff maintain appropriate medical records and completes billing documentation in a timely fashion and in accordance with TBS standards. Ensures client confidentiality consistent with client rights, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Knowledgeable of larger Achieving Potential behavioral health program clientele and provides backup support and services as needed. Maintains appropriate relations with other JFSA programs and departments, as well as with other local area providers. Demonstrates awareness of, follows all safety policies and procedures, and adheres to all recommended safe work practices. Also contributes to the control of hazards in specified areas of responsibility. Gives input to and is a part of the preparation and administration of the program budget. Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned. Assures client confidentiality consistent with client rights, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the special requirements surrounding work with alcoholism and substance abuse.
