Drill Inspection Mechanic for the Dragline, Drills and Shovel maintenance group. This is a straight days position-- 5/4 Schedule
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Must work safely and promote the safe behavior in others.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate work with pit and other operational areas on the mine site.
• Minimum of three (3) years of heavy equipment maintenance experience in mining or two years mechanical or welding vo-tech degree with one year of experience.
• Preferred experience performing maintenance on drills.
• Able to abide by and ensure compliance with all Company rules and guidelines, and all applicable state and federal laws.
• Organize, kit and stage parts for planned repairs, including kitting filters for PM's.
• Inspect/audit assigned equipment, perform running checks and make minor repairs where possible.
• Responsible for accurately completing work order backlog.
• Actively participate in PMs and major repairs.
• Responsible for accurately documenting component change outs.
• Ensure components removed from machine are audited and sent in for repair and must guarantee cores are properly tagged.
• Assist in developing inspection procedures, setting up standards, and making decisions on repairs, such as forecasting engine change outs, pump replacements, undercarriage replacements, swing rack replacements, and determining which buckets need to be repaired or changed out.
• May perform welding and mechanical repairs on heavy mining equipment such as front-end loaders, haul trucks, mining support equipment (dozers, graders, scrapers), mining shovels, draglines, excavators and drills.
• Other duties as assigned by the company.
