Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of our software and improving our delivery processes. As a Senior Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product, and Development teams to understand business requirements, translate them into comprehensive test plans, and design robust automated UI and functional testing strategies. You will also take the lead in driving best practices and continuous improvement within the automation framework.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Requirements Analysis & Test Automation - Participate in analysis sessions to understand functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases. Develop and execute test automation scripts using frameworks like Selenium and Playwright, leveraging knowledge of Java or C# for scripting.
- Application Testing & Data Analysis - Test web applications, ETL processes, and reporting systems (Power BI, Cognos), performing quality checks and executing SQL/NoSQL queries for data validation and integrity.
- CI/CD & Version Control - Integrate QA automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for streamlined workflows, and use tools like Azure DevOps, GIT, Jenkins, and JIRA for version control, defect tracking, and test management.
- SQL Expertise & AI Automation Tools - Write complex SQL queries for data validation, test data creation, and performance testing. Experience with AI-enabled test automation tools such as Applitools and Appvance (preferred).
- Agile Methodology & Work Tracking - Work in an Agile Scrum environment, participating in sprints and stand-ups. Maintain work logs, effort estimations, and time tracking within Jira to ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- QA Process Enhancement & Mentoring - Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes at MHA-IT while mentoring and guiding junior QA Analysts and team members in knowledge sharing and skill development.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- 3-5 Years experience in Automation Engineering, quality assurance testing roles and applications
- Degree in computer science, information technology or engineering
- Strong programming skills in Java or C#.
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks like Selenium and Playwright.
- Experience testing web applications, ETL processes, and reporting systems (Power BI, Cognos).
- Solid experience in integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and testing.
- Familiarity with AI-powered automation tools like Applitools and Appvance (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, Jenkins, and JIRA for version control, defect tracking, and test management.
- Strong experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Scrum methodologies.
- Formerly a mentor or team lead with strong communication skills with a passion for knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.
