OVERVIEW: Based at the Sierra Pines office in The Woodlands, TX, this position will report to the Linde Gases U.S. (LGUS) Vice President of Human Resources and provide support for approximately 400 employees across 18 locations in the Bulk and Onsite South Region (TX, LA, OK, and MO) and 150 employees in Linde Services Inc. (LSI) across 12 locations throughout the U.S. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collaborate closely with regional leaders to understand organizational goals, priorities, and challenges. - Develop and implement people strategies that align with the regional needs and their long-term objectives. - Ensure regional HR initiatives contribute directly to achieving business results, such as growth, market expansion, innovation, and customer satisfaction. - Analyze current and future workforce needs to understand gaps in skills, capacity, or capabilities. - Design and execute strategies for retention, succession planning, and talent development. - Partner with leaders to optimize team structures, resource allocation, and workforce deployment for maximum efficiency. - Monitor and respond to external labor market trends that impact the region's ability to attract and retain talent. - Advise leadership on solutions for improving employee satisfaction, reducing turnover, and building trust. - Support leadership with managing organizational change initiatives. - Lead regional performance, salary administration, succession planning, and talent management processes. - Provide actionable insights based on metrics such as turnover rates, employee engagement scores, diversity ratios, pipeline readiness, and more. - Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues, legal risks, and HR regulations. - Monitor and address workplace issues such as misconduct, harassment, or discrimination to protect the organization and employees. - Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiency. - Continuously improve HR systems, policies, and practices to better serve both employees and the organization. QUALIFICATIONS: Basic: - BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. - 10 or more years of relevant HR experience. - Demonstrated influencing and leadership skills. - Knowledge of exposure to HR concepts and employment/labor laws and regulations (i.e., FLSA, Title VII, FMLA). - Ability to travel up to 30% - 40% of the time. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. - Experience with HR information systems and applicant tracking systems. Preferred: - Master's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, or related field. - 15 or more years of relevant HR experience. - Experience with SAP and/or Taleo.
