Fall River Health Services is looking for a Maintenance Worker. In this role, you will assist the organization in completing work tasks in a manner that keeps disruption to facility operations at a minimum. Shift: Does Require rotating on call during the weekday and weekends. Responsibilities: Assist in performing repairs and maintenance on all mechanical and stationery equipment within the facility. The position will also assist in replacing parts and filters, lubricating and cleaning necessary equipment, and fabricate original parts when necessary. Work tasks are completed in a timely manner.Completes all maintenance work within established safety standards to ensure a safe work environment. Has a basic understanding of established safety standards and codes. Disposes of infectious wastes in a manner consistent with regulations.Maintain facility grounds to provide safe and pleasant surrounding for patients, visitors and staff. Facility grounds to have a neat, orderly and well-trimmed appearance. Litter promptly removed. Snow removal and de-icing done promptly and thoroughly to prevent falls.Assist in performing corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent unnecessary delays in work and cost minimization.Interacts cooperatively with facility personnel and participates in assigned projects to ensure a positive work environment. Interacts well with others to achieve the most cost effective and successful project completionAt times may be called on to assist with resident/patient transports. Punctuality, attentiveness, empathy and excellent customer service required.Maintenance staff must be available to take calls outside regular work hours.Other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon needs and requirements by the Environmental Services Director Average pay is $16.12-$19.61/hour depending on experience.
