Medline ReNewal is a single use medical device (SUD) commercial reprocessor. We collect used SUDs from healthcare facilities nationwide at our newly commissioned facility in Redmond Oregon and remanufacture them to meet or exceed the performance specifications of a new original equipment device. The result is a reprocessed SUD that provides the highest level of patient care, reduces medical waste, and is sold at a lower price than a new device. Our engineering team members are eager problem solvers that use common sense with a hands-on approach when providing solutions.

Job Description:
The Lab Supervisor will lead a group of talented technicians that are imbedded in the middle of our engineering department. This group is responsible for executing product development protocols that test cleanliness, sterility, product performance, electrical standards, and biocompatibility on all kinds of surgical devices. Completed projects are submitted to the FDA for 510(k) approval before production launch. This visible and hands on role is a new addition/level in our growing organization. The successful candidate will help develop, define, and steer the direction of this team.
Major Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate the activities of the lab technicians while overseeing the accuracy and timely execution of protocols.
Coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Serve as a technical liaison between engineering, quality assurance, and production.
Act as a document reviewer to ensure that protocol intentions are met and that the validations can be performed without deviations.
Participate/lead product development meetings and work closely with managers to prioritize projects, develop time schedules, and execute timely completions.
Manage inventory receipts, maintenance of device storage areas, and shipment of goods to be sent out for testing.
Monitor training and qualification of laboratory technicians to ensure compliance to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Ensure daily lab needs are met and preventative maintenance activities are performed and recorded.
Evaluate laboratory processes and cross-functional interactions for continuous improvement opportunities.
Act as a key point of contact on design/process changes that occur in our production environment. Navigate the Design Control process while working with Product Development and Quality Assurance.
Support, write, and review technical justifications and deviations.
Managerial responsibilities include – approving purchases, maintaining timecards, performance reviews, and developing individual's goals for direct reports.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Prior experience managing direct reports.
Technical writing, research paper writing, and/or experimental design experience.
Intermediate skill level in computer and systems use (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an FDA, medical device, or regulated industry.
Prior experience reading and interpreting standards and guidance documents.
Prior experience in a LEAN Manufacturing/Production environment, GMP and/or New Product Development.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$72,280.00 - $105,040.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
