Program Manager - Research - Neurosurgery (Finance)
Position Summary:
Develops, plans, and maintains research. A laboratory in the Department of Neurosurgery, interested in neural recordings and the development of brain-computer interface (BCI) devices, is searching for an individual to plan, develop, and write protocols and other regulatory materials (e.g. IDE submissions), as well as manage ongoing clinical trial research projects. Experience with clinical trials and regulatory documentation is required; knowledge of BCI is preferred.

Certification/Skills:
Depending on research may require advanced level grant writing skills.
Depending on research may require Registered Nurse within the State of Texas.
Depending on research may require Clinical Research Coordinator certification.
May require program specific certifications.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in science or a health administration related field.
Minimum Experience:
Five years of applicable experience.
May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of regulatory documentation and ability to write such documentation.
Knowledge of neuroscience (general) and brain-computer interface (specific).
Clinical trials experience.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
